In high school , I was so shy that I cried with anxiety at the thought of doing a cooking demonstration. I used my shyness to get out of a lot of things in high school.
I came out onto the internet about three years ago to help others grow their business and I knew that being in front of the camera would be a higher form of connection than hiding behind it. So, I said “what the heck” and I learned the technology and stepped in front of the camera.
I believe in imperfect action is better than no action so I did my Solopreneur Success Strategies 100 episodes whether I was sick or I was having a bad hair day. I don’t remove the “ums” and mistakes because that is what being human is all about.
Now, going in front of the camera hasn’t solved my shyness and I will blush and stutter if I had to do a speech in front of an audience but I find it way easier just to turn on the camera and improvise.
